C&N was founded in 2000 to serve the marketing needs of independent, farmer owned co-op ethanol refiners.  C&N Companies has grown to represent over 500 million US gallons of ethanol production, along with 150 million gallons of Biodiesel.  This production comes from 11 different plants, from Indiana to Mexico.  C&N is focused exclusively on the sales, logistics and regulatory reporting of renewable fuels across North America.  As conditions have warranted C&N has also arranged exports of these products to Europe and Asia.  C&N was started by Jon D. Bjornstad. As President Jon brings over 20 years of experience in marketing ethanol to the U.S. and Canadian refining industry.

C&N Companies provides a complete solution for ethanol and biodiesel producers including marketing, sales, logistics, and regulatory filing.  C&N manages all of the sales contracts, transportation logistics, invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable for all of the plants that we represent.  C&N Companies maintains federal, state, and provincial licenses for the distribution of ethanol and biodiesel in over 32 States and Canadian provinces.

C&N’s marketing and distribution system includes access to over 200 markets nationwide through our rail, rack, and truck distribution network.  C&N Companies maintains terminal storage in major population centers throughout North America for both biodiesel and ethanol.  While several producers supply their own railcars to move ethanol and biodiesel, to ensure continuous availability to customers, C&N also operates a leased railcar fleet, 90% of which are dedicated to ethanol shipments.  C&N also ships both products by truck, barge and bulk tankers.

Mansfield Oil Company acquired 100% of the stock ownership in C&N in June of 2009.  Mansfield provides C&N unmatched refiner relationships, deep financial strength, and the leading edge technology platforms required to support the long term growth and development of C&N Companies.
