C&N and Mansfield Nominated for Platts Deal of the Year |
|
For the second year in a row, Mansfield Oil has been named a Finalist for the prestigious Platts Global Energy Awards. Judges selected Mansfield for its performance in two categories—Downstream Operations of the Year and Deal of the Year—from a record number of nominations. Platts Global Energy Awards, now in their 11th year, recognize significant contributions to the energy industry . . . In choosing Mansfield as a Finalist for Deal of the Year, judges evaluated the July 2009 acquisition of C&N, a leading ethanol marketer representing 500 million gallons of ethanol production and 150 million gallons of biodiesel production capacity. The expansion of alternative fuel offerings allows supply to 150 new markets. The nomination recognizes the challenge of increasing fuel supply derived from sustainable sources. Mansfield's acquisition positions the company to provide new producers with a uniquely integrated distribution network.
For Downstream Operations of the Year, judges considered that Mansfield has proven operational excellence by moving over 2 billion gallons of motor fuel across 49 states, increasing renewable fuel sales by 450%. Particular areas of unique service include: - The only nationwide capacity to deliver all varieties of motor fuel with local service.
- The first generator fuel supply solution with national scale: GenPro helps companies save money, increase reliability, and protect fuel supply in emergencies.
Winners of the 2009 Global Energy Awards will be announced at a black-tie celebration on December 3, 2009 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
